I have a really big test tomorrow but I can’t sleep & I keep thinking about The Great Gatsby.
Honestly it blew me away. The book was phenomenal of course, but my God, they really killed it on making this movie. I usually hate Hollywood & anything they make (or should I say remake because these money hungry bastards lack any shred of originality) especially when they’re going from a book, but damn. It was so great. It was extremely well made; between the music & extravagant scenes & the devastating parts, I was amazed. I don’t typically gush over movies, but my God. I’m particularly drawn to the fact that they were able to make such a haunting movie. Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t stop thinking about it. It was such a beautiful, heart breaking, anything but typical romance, & they managed to portray the whole “star crossed lovers” schtick without the regular stigma around it. I just, ahhhhh. My wittle heart can’t take it. Gatsby. Hot damn. Good movie.
